Aulus-les-bains thermal spa

Aulus les Bainsis situated at 780 m altitude in a setting of exceptional natural beauty in a lush, high river valley surrounded by high mountains. The village numbers only 130 permanent inhabitants which gives it a convivial, family ambiance. Aulus is the ideal place to spend a pleasant, relaxing holiday while taking care of your body and health. If you come with your family they will be able to take advantage of the numerous outdoor and cultural activities in Ariège and the Couserans area. In the nearby vicinity, you can enjoy mountain walks, horseriding and mountain biking, tennis, skiing or snowshoeing in winter and of course trout fishing in the Garbet river.

The mineral waters of Aulus are cold (15° to 17°C), and sulfated. They contain significant amounts of calcium and magnesium as well as many other metallic elements (iron, manganese, aluminium, zinc...). They are particularly effective in the treatment of high cholesterol by diminishing the total cholesterol and increasing good cholesterol. They also treat other metabolic illnesses such as obesity, gout, diabetes and high blood pressure as well as digestive, hepatic, biliary and urinary conditions.
