The road to our house winds alongside the Artillac river through its small, verdant valley and begins its climb into the mountains after it reaches Tourné. We are just 2 km from the village of Castelnau Durban, an easy walk, but the seclusion confers an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. Tourné is surrounded by forest, and the gardens between the house and the Artillac provide privacy for taking a dip in the river in the hot summer months.Besides walking in the mountains, nearby activities for you to enjoy include mountain biking, cycle touring, horseriding and fishing. As we are halfway between Foix and St Girons, both the major tourist attractions of the eastern half of Ariège (cathar castles, prehistoric caves) and the wild, unspoiled mountains of the Couserans are easily reached. |

The five bedrooms are on the first floor and second floor, have either double beds or twin beds and one of the rooms has a double and two single beds. All guests have private bathrooms though they are not en suite.
The house and facilities are available for those wishing to undertake self-guided or guided retreats. Self-guided retreats would be appropriate for people wishing to deepen their own established practice, or for recovery from illness or simple to take in the freedom and freshness that the space offers. The riverside studio can be used for yoga, tai chi or other practice while the meditation room in the house offers excellent space.
