This little gîte is located 2 kms from Tarascon, in a large, quiet sunny meadow at the foot of the mountain called Le Sédour, along the road that leads up to the Col de Port.

| The small village of Surba is 5 km from the thermal spa at Ussat-les-Bains, 2 km from the Prehistoric Park, 15 km from the Plateau de Beille (cross-country ski station and Tour de France stage finish), 20 km from the Col de Port and near to most of the prehistoric caves for which Ariège is famous.
The house comprises a living/dining room with woodburning stove in the fireplace, a convertible couch, phone jack and TV hookup; a kitchen with 4-burner hob, oven, fridge and clothes washer. The bedroom has a double bed with futon mattress. Bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.

The 40m2 house is all on one level, southfacing and lightfilled, and has been restored using natural, non-toxic materials : wood, terra cotta, earth and lime.
