| Situated in the Couserans, in the attractive little village of ALAS, Stephane and Jacqui Germain welcome you to share the calm and beauty of Ariege for your holidays. In their spacious, eigtheenth century house, beside a stream full of trout, Les Silenes is surrounded by numerous walking paths, including the St Jacques Compostelle which passes by the front door. Having fallen in love with the unspoilt nature of the region a few years ago, Stephane and Jacqui decided to renovate this former hunting lodge, which had been transformed into a school in the fifties, as a bed and breakfast. They offer 5 bedrooms, for 2-4 people, all of which are light, comfortable and tastefully decorated, with private bathrooms.
We also have a 50 m2 holiday apartment with a separate entrance. It comprises a salon with kitchenette, a bedroom and a bathroom and sleeps 2-4 people. 300 € per week. |

 We welcome groups and can accommodate 13 people.
The surrounding countryside is magnificent and offers everyone who stays a sense of escape, of peace, of well-being. Discover the neighbouring valleys of Bethmale and Bellongue at your pace - on foot, on horse-back (riding centre ten minutes away), by bike (we have bikes for hire), or paragliding (centre five minutes away). The pure air of the mountains will certainly give you a healthy appetite – start the day with a copious breakfast, including home-made bread, cakes and jam. In the evening, Stéphane and Jacqui pride themselves on offering good value for money, using local products (duck, trout, goats cheese etc) and organic produce, including the best strawberries you’ve ever tasted! We also provide vegetarian meals on request, and childrens’ menus.
