With its unique view of the Mont Fourcat, the place is the point of departure for numerous walking, mountain biking and horseriding trails. Nearby, the Cathar castles of Montségur (10 minutes by car) and Roquefixade (11 kms) will delight history lovers. The ski staiton of Mont d'Olmes 16 kms away will satisfy winter sports enthusiasts of all abilities; it is also the point of departure for climbing the Pic de St Bartélemy (2348m) on snowshoes or cross-country skis. |

La Touyre, a rushing stream just below the hamlet is a first class trout stream that will please equally fishermen and the eyes of the walkers who pass along it. Winding roads and cols for motorcyclists and touring cyclists, mountain lakers for picnickers, lakes on the plain for bathers and windsurfers (Lake Montbel 25 kms away), cliffs and rockfaces for rockclimbers (1,500 routes rated from 2a to 8c+), world renowned natural curiosities (caves and underground rivers) as well as other activities and attractions will enhance your stay with us.
We'll prolong the evening sipping herbal infusions and sharing our experiences of the day and preparing for your excursions of the following day. Celia regale you with a story or share her extensive knowledge of Cathar history. When it's time for sleeping, Les Ninouninettes offers several accommodations:

In the evening, if you desire, we'll share a meal, starting with aperitifs served in the garden or in front of the fire depending on the season. The dishes are prepared mainly with local and organic produce and feature not only Gascon and Mediterranean but also Swiss, savoyard and exotic flavours.
