Built of stone and wood, with a private garden, garage, balconies and terrace with a panoramic view of the Pyrenees and the town of Ax, this gîte will fulfill all your requirements for comfort and convient access to the numerous activities in the Ax valleys.
These include walking and hiking on both major and minor waymarked trails, exploring the natural reserve at Orlu to observe the abundant wildlife, horseriding with our famous Mérens horses, mountain biking, canoeing and kayaking. And in winter the ski resort Ax 3 Domaines is just 2 kms away and the largest cross country ski station in the Pyrenees is 25 kms away. |

In winter you can choose between : Alpine skiing : at AX LES TROIS DOMAINES 2 km away, ASCOU PAILHERES, at 8 km ; cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and dog-sledding at the Col du CHIOULA (5 km) and the Plateau de BEILLE 25 km away. After skiing or a day of hiking you can relax at the thermal spa at Ax-les-Thermes, with its pool and sauna. Many people go there for a "cure" as the warm sulfuric waters of Ax are reputed to help with respiratory disease and rhumatism.
