Bonjour and welcome to Massat, a mountain village situated à 650 m altitude. I offer my house as a holiday rental; I built it and live there all year except for the summer so it is available from the end of May to the beginning of October.

The house has a garden and balcony terrace, no immediate neighbors and a pretty view of the surrounding mountains. The living quarters are on the first and second floors, with the ground floor given over to my carpentry workshop which I don't use during the summer. I run the municipal campground and live on site so I'm nearby if you need me.

 

 

 

 

 

The house comprises :

- A large 45 m2 living area, very light, with a fireplace and converitble couch. It opens directly onto the balcony terrace, where there is a barbeque.
- an kitchen area with fitted appliances and large, practical work surfaces.
- 1 18 m2 bedroom with a double bed and storage shelves..
- 1 15 m2 bedrooms with 2 single beds, storage shelves and a desk
- 1 bathroom with bathtub, washbasin and clothes washer
- An 80 m2 private, enclosed garden

Situated on the edge of the village, the spot is very quiet except perhaps for the cock that crows in the morning.

The village shops are 200 m away (grocery, butcher, wine shop, health food shop, hardware); a bit further away is a doctor, pharmacy and post office (with cash point).

There is a vast network of well-marked walking trails in the Massat valley, with detailed guides available in the tourist office..

Several other activities can be practices in the Massat valley.

- paragliding, aeromodelism
- horseriding
- walks with donkeys
- fishing
- cycle touring and mountain biking

Various festivals are organised throughout the summer in the village: sont organisées tout au long de l’été dans le village, including:
- Fête de la Transhumance
- Evening markets and flea markets (July-August)

The big funfair takes place around the 15th of August.

If you're seeking a quiet, restful holiday in unspoilt nature, the setting of this little village surrounded by mountains will enchant you, and I hope you'll like my house as much as I do.
