This ideal family gîte is modern and spacious, with a large outside decked area, big country garden with children's swings, children's garden games. We are situated at 630 m elevation in the hamlet of 5 houses called La Sestière, just outside the village of Montoulieu, 8 kms from historic Foix, the capital of Ariège, with its famous castle that dominates the town. From La Sestière many of the tourist attractions are within 30 minutes drive and numerous spectacular walks are easily accessible.

Walking, canoeing, horseriding and other mountain adventure activities are all close by (brochures available in the gîte), as well as a safe beach and water skiing by teleski on the river Ariège a few minutes drive away, and Ax-les-Thermes, for all winter sports, is half an hour's drive. Thermal springs and baths are abundant in the area with many relaxing cures.

This bright, modern gîte sleeps 5 people in 2 double bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has one double bed (140 cm), bedroom 2 has one double (140 cm) and one single bed.

There are two separate shower rooms, each with a toilet.

The newly fitted, modern kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge freezer, cooker, dish washer and washing machine and all the usual small appliances.

The living area comprises of a comfortable three piece suite and has a television with DVD player, a small collection of DVD's and a music centre. A small book library is available with both French and English books.

Outside there is a large shaded decking area with table and chairs and a BBQ.
Steps and path lead down to a country garden with fruit trees and a grass area. There are spectacular views from the decking area over the valley to the peak, La Fourcat at over 2000m.

There is ample off road parking.

The gîte can also be rented with 1 bedroom (out of season) or 3 bedrooms.

The gîte is availalble for out of season monthly, weekend and mid-week lets.

Price includes water and electricity. Sheets and towels can be provided, on request. Travel cot, high chair and bed guard are available.

Gîte guests are requested to leave the gîte as clean and tidy as they found it. If you feel this will spoil your holiday experience then we can arrange an end of stay clean for a fee of 65 euros.
