Where nature fills your senses
The Maison du Valier welcomes you to the heart of one of the oldest natural reserves in the Pyrenees which in turn is in the Regional Natural Park of the Ariège Pyrenees. Its situation at the foot of the Mont Valier (2838m at the summit) and at the starting point of many walks, from the simplest to the most challenging, make it the ideal base for those passionate about the mountains.

With a pair of binoculars you can observe herds of isards, vultures and buzzards, or marmots. You'll be dazzled by the the wealth and colour of wildflowers on your walks. Besides hiking, you can practice rockclimbing, via ferrata, canyoning, fishing, paragliding and mountaining biking. Bernard was a gardian of the refuge at les Estagnous for 10 years and so knows every corner of this magical place.

Our home is your home
The Maison du Valier is a gîte-inn comprising four linked buildings. Two of them are reserved for accommodations with several rooms sleeping two to four people, a dormitory for 7 people and two rooms for guests with reduced mobility. All the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms.

Annie and Bernard receive you in the inn section which is a large, rustic, light-filled room. You can enjoy a drink with friends at the bar and then savour a meal by the fire. Bernard's cuisine is both traditional and creative and will delight your taste buds. Afterwards, you can relax on the comfortable mezzanine or on the terrace, or walk off your meal with a stroll along the Ribérot river to the Nérech waterfall.
