The hotel was built in 1926 and renovated since while retaining its simple, convivial country inn character. The hotel faces the main square, the life and soul of the village. In the summer, meatime on the shaded terrace is a pure delight.
The hotel has 20 spacious, personalised rooms with ensuite bathroom with shower, wc and TV and telephone.
The inn has always welcomed pilgrims following the Way of Saint James, of which a variant passes through the Mas d'Azil.

The access to the Mas d'Azil cave is spectacular as the road and the river pass through it for 420m. Inhabited from the Magdalenien era and it gave its name to the Azilian era. Long a bastion of Protestantism, the landscaped is marked by the wars of religion. An imposing catholic church with its stations of the cross faces down a plain protestant meeting house nearby. In summer, cool off at lake Mondély a few kms away. |
