Our Mérens horse farm is situated at 600m elevation in the small farming village (pop. 192) of Lasserre at the foot of the Ariège Pyrenees. We have 2 gîtes and 2 bed and breakfast guest rooms that can altogether accommodate 28 people.s

You will be greeted at the farm by a member of the Savignol family: Colette, a spry 75, who is the guardian of our horses and for whom each one is her protegé whose story she knows inside out.... Christine the hostess and decorator of our rooms, Jean Louis the man of the moment or Amandine our daughter.

1350 €/wk for 8 pers. + 100 € per add'l person up to 13 pers. max. 800 €/wk for 4 pers. + 100 € per add'l person up to 8 pers. max.
Security deposit 100 €, housecleaning 80 €, 50 € for heating in winter

The houses face full south at the edge of the village. They enjoy a panoramic view of the rolling foothills and the high snow-capped peaks of the Pyrenees.

We offer two gîtes :
- the chalet chez Colette : sleeps 13 in 4 bedrooms :
1 with a 180cm double waterbed and a 120cm bed
1 with a 160cm double waterbed and a 110cm sleigh bed
1 with a 140cm double bed and a single bed
1 with a 180cm double bed or 2 x 90cm single beds under the roof

2 bathrooms, one with a aquajet shower and one with a jacuzzi bathtub
a large living room with a home video and fireplace, a fully-equipped kitchen and a winter terrace.

- Gîte le Barail, sleeps 8 in two rooms and on a mezzanine :
1 180cm waterbed and two 90cm single beds or one 180cm double bed on the mezzanine
1with a 140cm double bed and one 110cm bed plus one 90cm single bed on the mezzanine
1 bathroom with shower et WC
Salon and fully equipped kitchen

In the village you will find : tennis and petanque courts, table tennis, children's playground, and of course the possibility of walks, mountain biking and horseriding.

We offer themed weekends on the farm in which we share our little secrets with you in a convivial ambience as if you were at home: pig butchering, foie gras and duck confit preparation, branding the horses, watching the foals being born, making jam, pressing apples, gathering mushrooms...
