This small hotel-restaurant is situated alongside the Arac River, which flows through the heart of the verdant area known as the Massatois. This valley is a paradise for walkers, horseriders, cyclists and trout fisherman.

The departmental road (D618) that passes in front of the auberge often figures in the Tour de France, and many cyclists heading for the Col de Port stop at his café to fortify themselves before beginning the climb.

From Biert there are many enjoyable walks leading to the numerous cols that surround the canton of Massat, or you can follow the trail leading to the top of the mysterious Ker that stands sentry over the village. In winter you can enjoy cross-country skiing at the étang (lake) de Lers 14 km away. A riding centre offering promenades on horseback is less than a 10 minute walk from Biert.

In the rustic restaurant/bar Denis and Catherine serve traditional and regional dishes; the 4 rooms are simple but comfortable, each with a double bed, washbasin and shower. One of the rooms has a private WC, the others share the WC in the corridor.
