Accueil Paysan was created in response to the growing number of visitors to the countryside seeking a real exchange with the rural inhabitants. This label gives priority to human relations and hospitality rather than standard conforts.
The "paysan" who offers this hospitality, generally in the form of bed and breakfast, has a real desire to further understanding of his or her occupation and environment (contact with animals, knowledge of plants and the rythm of the seasons) and, through modest prices, to make it accessible to all levels of society.
