Total peace at 1100 m altitude
Gîte "Cap de Quer" is perched on a ridge on the edge of the Mont Valier nature reserve with Spain just on the other side of the mountain wall before you. The view from the gîte of the river valley far below is stunning, even dizzying. Wild mountain chamois venture close to the gîte, and eagles and vultures soaring on the thermals are at eye level from the bedroom window. Bears reintroduced to the Pyrenees have passed through this area.
