Situated on the bank of the Arac River in the grounds of the Auberge de l’Arac, these 4 cottages are ideally situated for a holiday in the French Pyrenees. Overlooking a weir and surrounded by verdant landscape, the cottages offer a tranquil setting for any holidaymaker but are particularly ideal for cyclists, hikers and fishermen.

The quiet mountain roads are just perfect for exploring on two wheels and there are plenty of cols for those who fancy a more challenging ride or even want to do some serious training. Nearby there are numerous major hiking trails and many day walks, all guaranteeing spectacular views and making the effort worthwhile. Furthermore, the owners of the Auberge are always available to discuss potential routes and to offer encouragement.

Dans les environs, vous trouverez de nombreux sentiers de randonnée balisés comme le GR 10 et des boucles à faire en une journée, tous vous garantissant des panoramas spectaculaires qui vous récompensent de l’effort fourni.

Although the owners are still novices in the art of fishing, anglers have direct access to the Arac River from the grounds of the Auberge and can even watch the trout swim past from their bedroom window!

For those interested in self-catering, there are local shops 5 kms away while St. Girons and the larger supermarkets are only 16 kms away. However, if you want a break from cooking, breakfasts, packed-lunches and evening meals are all available at the Auberge – simply make a reservation the morning or evening before.
